"Degreasing" hair?

Howdy,

My friends wanted a pregnancy shot with their kids. They took the kids to the barber on the mode to my identify and found lice, and so they had to go home and wash their hair with that atrocious lice shampoo. Considering the birth was but days away, we went through with the shoot that afternoon anyhow and got some great shots, just the kids' hair looks extremely greasy (it looks heavily over-sharpened when it isn't sharpened at all).

I've tried "degreasing" information technology with various mistiness filters and I've been able to improve it, only I'm wondering if at that place's a practiced technique or trick.

Thanks!

Re: "Degreasing" pilus?

Y'all need to post an image, and so that we can see what needs to be done, then I am sure y'all will become many practiced ideas.

Regards...Allen

Re: "Degreasing" hair? - photo added

Hither's a crop of the hair - no sharpening. Their pilus doesn't actually expect this stringy/greasy.

I used my High Laissez passer action to soften it. You lot can make your own. Indistinguishable the layer, Capsize it (ctrl+I) and ready to Soft Low-cal. Run High Pass. If yous don't invert information technology yous tin use it to sharpen images. It could use some work but you get the idea.

Added New Layer and used the smudge tool to add hair. Changed layer to Lighten.

Lower Contrast or Clone

Lower the contrast. Do it several time.
Or put a reverse S bend to lower the contrast.
But it will not remove a wet hair impression totally.

An other way is to take new motion picture with the aforementioned lighting when the hair is dry and smooth (just the children), and so clone the pilus onto the main photo. It'due south still their hair anyway. Thank's to photoshop and editing technology.

Chip'south way looks to be the best way to exercise this
